Arriva notizia di nuove scoperte nell’antica Persepoli ad opera della nostra spedizione:
Iranian and Italian archeologists have discovered ancient architecture and a pottery kiln dating back to the Achaemenid era in southern Iran. Headed by renowned archeologist and Press TV contributor Professor Pierfrancesco Callieri as well as Alireza Asgari, the archeology team aimed to study the architecture of the areas surrounding the ceremonial Achaemenid capital of Persepolis in the southern Iranian province of Fars.
Nello specifico:
"An arrowhead, an eye bead and a blue Egyptian decoration on the wings of a Faravahar, which is a symbol of Zoroastrianism, were among the latest discoveries," Callieri told Press TV in an exclusive interview. "The excavations near the ancient city of Persepolis have resulted in the discovery of a 1.8-meter-wide wall with stone foundation and mud elevation," added the University of Bologna professor.
Conosciuto e stimato per la sua estrema competenza e modestia, Callieri è uno dei fiori all’occhiello dell’Italia in questo settore.
