“History Lost”, Illicit Antiquities Trade
 
L'inaugurazione della mostra "Il Furto della Storia. Il traffico illecito di antichità e le ripercussioni sulla civiltà" si terrà venerdì 26 ottobre 2007 secondo il seguente programma: ore 17.00 - introduzione e saluti delle Autorità nel Teatro di via del Castello 3 ore 18.00 - apertura nelle sale del Civico Museo del Castello di San Giusto La mostra viene organizzata in occasione della presentazione della Sede della Fondazione Ellenica di Cultura in Trieste con il patrocinio dell'Ambasciata di Grecia. Altri dettagli qui. “History Lost”, which will be presented at the San Giusto Castle on the initiative of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, in collaboration with the Municipality of Trieste (Department of Culture), is a multimedia exhibition devoted to the illicit antiquities trade. The exhibition highlights the impact of antiquities theft on society and culture and is enriched by copies of archaeological finds that have been returned to Greece and Italy in recent years at the request of these countries.
