A contemporary messiah?

I forgot to mention two newspaper articles on the same matter. A new one published on Israel Today:

Why does Rabbinical Judaism accept a heretical group that is promoting a false messiah, even as it ostracizes Jews who believe in the true Messiah who fulfilled the Scriptures?

"The Messiah Does Signs and Wonders," reads the slogan on the Ayalon, one of the busiest highways in Israel that runs through Tel Aviv.

Above the slogan appears a picture of this “messiah”—Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson (1902-1994), known as the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The billboard is part of a campaign by the Hassidic Chabad movement proclaiming the Rebbe as the promised Messiah.

And a previous one on The Jerusalem Post.http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=128&view=item&idx=1676http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull&cid=1201523794958shapeimage_2_link_0shapeimage_2_link_1
